In Crimea and Sevastopol conscription for the first time will be held in the spring of 2015. This was announced by the deputy chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Head of the Main Organization and Mobilization Directorate of the General Staff, Lieutenant-General Vasily Tonkoshkurov.
“Crimea and Sevastopol are completing preparations for the conscription, which will be held for the first time in 2015,” he said.
“From January 1, 2015 all the laws of the Russian Federation will be entirety extended to the inhabitants of the Crimea and Sevastopol. According to these laws it will be organized and implemented the conscription in the two subjects of the Russian Federation,” the deputy chief of the General Staff said.
